//Testimonials
Sam Lanctin has been wonderful to work with. He understands the challenges and nuances of professional regulation and has supported our team as we build our pharmacy framework. Sam is a clear communicator who has helped us to strategize, prioritize and think critically throughout this process. He has also been flexible and adaptable as this complex project shifted and changed direction. He has been invaluable to us through this project.
“Sam is a very clear thinker with excellent people skills. He has a strong work ethic and gets things accomplished in a timely way. My experience working on sensitive assignments with Sam is that he easily grasps complex topics and has workable solutions to put forward. He is a team worker – fair, highly reliable and credible. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
The NSCP engaged Sam to conduct interviews with key stakeholders as part of our strategic work to address pharmacy workplace environment challenges. Sam’s keen knowledge of the pharmacy sector, combined with his prior regulatory experience and linkages with important sector stakeholders, meant that he was able to both secure the interviews we required and provide an adept analysis of their implications. From our first conversation, Sam quickly understood the deliverables that were needed. Sam’s written products were both easy to read and informative, and he met all agreed upon timelines. Sam’s involvement not only lessened my burden as CEO in gathering and synthesizing this information, it also added significant value and strength to our future direction.
“I’ve known Sam Lanctin for over 20 years. Over that time, I’ve admired his calm, clear and practical approach to getting things accomplished, dealing with challenging situations with no drama, always focused on a positive outcome. He is the kind of success oriented professional you want on your team.”
“The challenge of being an entrepreneur especially during a pandemic is to know the difference between being a realistic visionary versus the pitfalls of practicing over-optimism.
Through the exercise of Socratic dialogue, with great insight and curiosity, Sam Lanctin was able to ask the very important questions that provided clarity and awareness that is absolutely critical for any successful business plan.
Based on his disciplined approach on the data, he exposed blind spots that would have resulted in personal and financial setback.
It’s not what you want to hear, it’s what you need to hear that is the fundamental tenet of Sam Lanctin Consultant”
“I worked with Sam Lanctin in my role as counsel to the New Brunswick College of pharmacists for over ten years. In that time, I observed his strong work ethic, his capable and respectful management of people, how he can navigate through difficult tasks, and a particular ability to build consensus when few think that agreement is possible. I particularly remember his effective guidance of the College through the numerous challenges posed by the pandemic. One thing that I miss is his power of analysis and how he thinks issues through in a way that considers all factors. I recommend Sam Lanctin as a consultant. He will bring value to your organization.”
“I had the opportunity to work with Sam Lanctin for 4 years on the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, in my role as a Public Member on the Council. Sam always made sure that everyone on the Council (the Board of Directors for the College) had an opportunity to participate, influence decisions, and have a voice on matters being discussed. It was important to him to fully examine issues from all points of view, including the “layman” perspective that I brought to the discussions. I found his leadership to be strong, collaborative, and thoughtful. Under his tenure as Registrar, he led and implemented significant advancements in the practice of Pharmacy in NB.I worked with Sam as Chair of a Membership Task Force to ensure that some issues being raised by members of the College (the Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Technicians) were not only being heard, but were incorporated into a plan that drove improvements across several key operational areas. By setting up this Task Force, Sam demonstrated his commitment to the members, and to ensuring that the practice of Pharmacy keeps pace with the needs of the members, while keeping the key objective of the safety of the public in front of every decision made.”
“I have worked with Sam for over 10 years and have witnessed his strongest talents as a well thought strategic perspective and mindset, attention to detail and a keen ability for effective communication. Sam has always put his team and clients interest front and centre and operated in a most professional manner.”
Sam conducted research for CPhA on international pharmacy graduate licensing and credentialling processes. Sam’s extensive experience in the pharmacy sector and his strong connections with key stakeholders proved to be invaluable to the research. His comprehensive analysis demonstrated his astute understanding of the regulatory and licensing complexities across Canada, which greatly expanded our understanding of the key issues and opportunities. The findings and recommendations provided in the report are invaluable to our organization and the broader pharmacy community.
